NSS, OPJU and School of Science jointly organized “CLEAN CLASSROOM CAMPAIGN’’ on 27 October 2021 to create awareness about the cleanliness, clean the classrooms and take necessary precautions that prevent the spread of Corona virus.

OP Jindal University, Raigarh - Institutions Innovation Council (under the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell) organized Energy Conservation Meet on 13 December 2021 on the theme of Energy Conservation in association with NSS and NTPC, Lara. The objective of this workshop was to create awareness about energy conservation and impart knowledge about need and importance of energy conservation among faculty, staff and students. The focus of the session was on the Energy Conservation and how to ensure energy conservation in day to day life.
In this session the resource person Dr R. D. Patidar, Vice Chancellor, OP Jindal University, Raigarh, Mr Sameer Sharma, (AGM-HR, NTPC, Lara) and Mr Samarendra Mallik (DGM-HR, NTPC, Lara) made presentations on Energy Conservation. In the presentations they provided information about Energy Conservation and its key factors related to ensure energy conservation at all places and levels. They also discussed the need, methods, importance and benefits of energy conservation. The students of OPJU- Ms Anoushka Sharma (BBA-V Sem), Ms Anushka Dubey (BSc.-II Sem) and Ms Tanya Sharma (B. Tech.-VII Sem), Mr Nikhil Vats (B. Tech.-VII Sem), Mr Gyanesh Rao (M.Tech.), Ms Tulja Sharma (BBA-V Sem) and Ms Divya (B.Tech-V Sem) made their presentations and shared their views on Energy Conservation. At the end of the programme, Dr Satish Kanhed, Asst. Prof. proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was moderated by Ms Madhvi Tripathi (MBA-I) and Ms Aiman Ashraf (BBA-V Sem).
To protect environment and create awareness about Green Environment, NSS and Centre for Social Empowerment, OPJU organized Plantation Drive at OPJU Campus. Dr R. D. Patidar, Vice-Chancellor, faculty and staff members of OPJU planted 60 saplings.
NSS & Centre for Social Empowerment, OPJU organised a Plantation Drive at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Chharratangar (Adopted Village) on 8th July 2022 and planted 100 plants in the campus of the school. The Sarpanch of Chharratangar Mrs Gayatri , the Principal of the school Mr Bhimsen Sahu, Dr Girish Mishra, Head- School of Science, the teachers and students of the school planted the saplings.
NSS & Centre for Social Empowerment, OPJU organised a Plantation Drive at Govt. Pre- Middle School, Tumidih (Adopted Village) on 13th July 2022 and planted 30 plants in the campus of the school. The Head Master of the school, Mr S. K. Jogi, all the teachers and students of the school planted the saplings.

On the occasion of birthday of Dr R. D. Patidar, Vice-Chancellor, OPJU, NSS & CSE, OPJU organised a Plantation Drive at OPJU campus and planted total 25 plants.Dr Patidar announced that to mark the birthday of each employee in a month, at the end of each month a Plantation Drive will be organised and saplings will be planted by them.

On the occasion of Human Rights Day, the volunteers of NSS, OPJU (in association with JSP Foundation) visited Govt High School, Samaruma and created awareness regarding-

NSS OPJU, Raigarh in association with JSP Foundation celebrated VAN MAHOTSAV WEEK on 6th July 2023 at OPJU campus and distributed Saplings with flower pots to faculty and staff members of the University. This initiative towards GREEN EARTH was appreciated by all. 58 faculty and staff members participated in the programme.
NSS, OPJU in association with JSP foundation organised a Plantation Drive at Netraheen Bal Vidya Mandir, Amlidih on 1st August 2023 and planted Amla, Lemon, and Mango plants (Total-11 Plants).
Adopt a Tree Scheme we have organized a plantation drive at OPJU Near Cricket Ground followed by the cake-cutting ceremony to felicitate all the employees whose birthdays are held in September 2023 and October 2023.
Department of Civil Engineering @SoE in association with NSS AND CENTRE FOR SOCIAL EMPOWERMENT, OPJU visited NETRAHIN BAL VIDYA MANDIR, AMLIDIH, and celebrated Diwali moments. They interacted with the kids, enjoyed the moments, and donated essential grocery items like Rice (35 kg), Pulse, and many more to the School.
