The School of Science, O.P. Jindal University has successfully conducted the “4th International Conference on Innovation and Research in Science & Technology for Sustainable Development (ICIRSTSD-25)” on 29-30 May 2025. The Inaugural Session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) L. P. Pateriya, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Nandkumar Patel University, Raigarh as the Chief Guest and Dr. Arun K. Tripathy, Professor of Mathematics at Sambalpur University, Odisha; Dr. S. S. Rathi, Plant Head of Nalwa Steel & Power, Raigarh; Dr. Maruthi Kasyap GNV, CEO of VB Group, Hyderabad as Guests of Honour. Dr R.D. Patidar, Chairman of ICIRSTSD-25 and Vice Chancellor, OPJU in his welcome address congratulated the School of Science and the organizing committee for organizing the Fourth Version of ICIRSTSD-25 as a landmark conference on such a relevant topic in demand of the current global scenario. The Chief Guest also emphasized the inevitable need of research and innovation in the present situation in the Higher Education Institutions for sustainable and equitable growth and advancement of society. Dr Girish Chandra Mishra, Vice-Chairman of ICIRSTSD-25 and the Dean, School of Science presented the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and organizers. The conference attracted significant academic interest by receiving 200 papers, and 145 quality papers were accepted, including 10 international submissions. It featured four keynote sessions with a total of nine distinguished keynote talks, providing insights into cutting-edge research and sustainable technological solutions. The scientific program included 12 technical sessions spread across four thematic tracks: two sessions in Physical Sciences (Track 1), and three sessions each in Chemical Sciences (Track 2), Mathematical Sciences (Track 3), and Biotechnology, Environment & Health Sciences (Track 4). A dedicated poster presentation session was also held to encourage interactive discussion. The conference successfully served as a dynamic platform for researchers, academicians, and industry experts to exchange ideas, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and emphasize innovation for sustainable development. The Valedictory Session was held online with the presence of Dr. Ulrich Berk, President, German Association of Homa Therapy, Germany as the Chief Guest and Mr. Thomas Abdallah, Lecturer at Columbia University, Deputy Vice President and Chief Environmental Engineer, MTA New York City Transit (NYC Subway) as the Guest of Honour. Both the international delegates congratulated the School of Science, O.P. Jindal University for hosting such a conference on a very important and relevant topic. Dr R.D.
