The University adopts a system of continuous evaluation consisting of Progress Review Examination (PRE) and End Semester Examination (ESE). Appearance in ESE is mandatory.
Examinations are conducted for academic programs approved by the Academic Council, leading to degrees such as Bachelor's, Master's, or Diplomas. Only regular students or those approved by the Council are eligible to appear.
Students may carry backlogs except from the (n-2) year. No backlog from 1st semester when entering the 3rd semester.
Students can carry preceding semester backlogs but none from the (n-3) semester.
Students can carry backlogs from preceding semesters but none from the (n-2) semester.
Promotion to the 4th semester requires clearing all 1st-year courses. Projects can't be submitted until all prior courses are cleared.
Required bridge courses must be cleared before the 5th semester.
Each course—Theory, Lab, Project, etc.—has specified credits as per your program’s Scheme of Teaching.
PRE weightage for lab courses is 60%.
Applicable for students admitted from 2019 onwards in SOE, SOM, and SOS.
