Overview

The Indian economy is growing at a rapid pace and it is one of the fastest growing major economies of the world. There is a requirement of a large pool of trained management professionals in all sectors and at various levels to meet the challenges of global competition and growth. Many companies are building a talent pool by recruiting fresh MBA students and make them perform in their jobs by providing them with organizational and industry specific skills.

The two-years full time MBA programme under the School of Management (SOM) follows a semester pattern. The first two semesters consists of foundation courses in the areas of Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Organizational Behaviour, Operations etc where as the second year consists of Core and Elective Courses. There is a 8-week summer internship project during the intervening period between the second and third semester where the students visit a company to gain hands-on experience on the workings of real life businesses. Keeping in view of the brand mantra of “Learning by Doing”, the course is interspersed with industry visits, case studies, projects, management games, role plays, corporate interactions, activities and so on.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • Desirable: A valid score card of CAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ OPJUMAT.

Admission Process

  • Apply (Online/Offline) for the programs at OPJU School of Engineering, School of Management, School of Science.
  • Application should be accompanied by non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000 for Diploma, Undergraduate Program, Postgraduate Program and Rs. 2,000 for Doctoral Program payable online (Internet Banking/ Credit/ Debit card) or DD/ Bank Transfer / UPI.
  • A merit list will be announced for eligible candidates for each round. The shortlisted candidates will be asked to appear for counselling. On subject to fulfillment of requisite conditions, eligibility and verification of documents, a provisional admission offer letter will be issued to the candidate. The candidate is required to deposit the fee within the stipulated date.
  • One Time Deposit (OTD) of Rs. 15,000 needs to be paid (All Courses) within the stipulated time mentioned in the offer letter. The OTD shall be adjusted towards enrollment fee on confirmation of admission. In case of cancellation by students, the OTD will be non-refundable.
  • If the candidate doesn’t pay the full fee by the stipulated date, the admission will be deemed cancelled and the seat will become vacant for the next round of counseling.
  • There will be three rounds of counseling. After that, if any seats remain unfilled, they will be filled on a rolling counseling basis (first come, first serve).
  • The university reserves the right to cancel admission at any stage of the admission process without any notice if the student doesn’t meet minimum eligibility criteria for a particular program.
  • Candidates of reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) of Chhattisgarh domicile and female candidates are exempted from the application fee.
