About Events

OP Jindal University, Raigarh is going to organizing a National Level talent search event under the title “Talent Hunt” for the 10th, 11th, 12th and Diploma students. This program will be conducted in online mode due to serious activeness of the second wave of CORONA-19 pandemic. The objective of the programme is to adopt a child-centered approach to build up the overall personality of students and to improve academic excellence.



About the event

To show your vocabulary by just the words.

Rules and Regulations:

  • The participants had to write spelling of words after listening to words carefully.
  • The dictator will announce the word only two times.
  • The wrong words dictated by the speller will not be counted.
  • Participants are not allowed to spell any words.
  • The participants will not request the dictator to repeat any word.
  • Participants are not allowed to communicate with anyone during the event.

    About the event

    In this event, participants need to bring their own waste material and have to make best and useful application from this waste material. This activity helped to enhance not only creativity and presentation skills of the student but also helped them to realize the importance of recycling and reusing waste material available to them.

    Rules and Regulations:

  • First 20 entries will be considered. However, the committee reserves the right of any increment in number if desired.
  • A team should consist of minimum 2 and a maximum 3 members.
  • A total time of 2 hours will be provided. The participants have to make the working model in the said duration only.
  • Only waste material should be used.
  • However stationary items like fevicol, scissors, stapler, tape etc. items are allowed.
  • As the competition will be held online the participants need to arrange the required materials by themselves.
  • Use of partial, whole or readymade model and any unfair means will directly lead to disqualification.
  • The reference of any internet or unfair means should not be used at the time of presentation.
  • Faculty- coordinators have all the rights to take final decision for any matter during the event.
  • Judge: Participants will be judged on creativity, Utilization of resources, Artistic Composition &design, Eco Friendly rating, Utility of the product and overall Presentation.

    Theme : Combination of nature and fashion

    About the event

    In this theme, participants can take inspiration from nature and can design their dress. Ex- colours, pattern etc. Or they can mix nature with fashion and can showcase their creativity. Ex – props like flower, leaves etc. and they can use any prop according to their wish.

    Rules and Regulations:

  • All dress design must be original and not copied from internet.
  • Participant who found design copied from internet will be disqualified from the competition.
  • Participant also have to tell in one sentence “What is fashion to them?”
  • Late submission will not be accepted and the participant may automatically be disqualified.
  • The prizes and certificates will be directly given from college.
  • Judging Criteria: Participants will be judged on the basis of creativity, presentation and originality of the design.

  • To enter in competition make sure you follow our page.
  • This is a solo event.
  • Don't use any pictures of jewellery from the internet as a reference for your competition entry, you might get disqualified for copying material from internet.
  • Don’t use anything exaggerated material use as much as recyclable materials that you have.
  • Write down what inspired you and how this is sustainable for us.
  • Don’t use readymade products everything should be handmade except thread.

    About the event

    In this event participants need to click a selfie of their own based on our themes and judges will evaluate according to set criteria.

    The themes are divided into 2 parts:

  • Rural Tribal /Retro (Qualifiers)
  • Safety Handles (Masks, Sanitizer) (Finale)
  • Based on our themes you will be judged on basis of creativity and awareness of the cultures by our judges.

    Rules and Regulations:

  • All the entries must be submitted in google form rather than sending privately.
  • You strictly have to mention the Message the name of the theme either 1 st theme or 2 nd theme of your clicked snap in Google form.
  • Register only once in google form. Twice registering will be subjected to disqualification. Do mention all your details correctly.
  • We will be creating a WhatsApp group for all the participants where they will be informed about everything.
  • If your entry is selected you will be informed in the WhatsApp group itself.
  • Please should not send your clicked snap in whatsapp group.
  • Judging Criteria: We’ll be having a judge who will give points and mark the photos on particular areas (to be finalized).

  • The quiz will be conducted on the Google form
  • The link of the quiz will be provided to the contestant at the time of competition via WhatsApp or any other medium where students will fill their personal details and perform the quiz.
  • The quiz will be conducted on 3 levels, Qualifiers, Semi Finals and Finale.
  • The areas to be covered in quiz will be:

    Show your video making talent

    Adblitz with an objective to enhance and share the knowledge of the art and science of short film making as a very effective tool of communication. There is no particular theme; we would like to keep that open for any creative content. You can choose stories based on history, culture, heritage, business or amazing facts & insights of your city. But teams would be judged on their originality, creativity, content/ script, sound, music, quality of the video, acting, and directing. Though it is not necessary for every member to act.

    Rules for Short Film :

    • The duration of the short film should not exceed the time limit of more than 4 minute (240 Seconds; Inclusive of credits)
    • The concept, creation & the content should be original in nature.
    • Any submission having vulgar or sexual content will not be considered for evaluation.
    • The contestant can choose either Hindi or English language for making short film.
    • Short film should be in .mp4 format.
    • The group of eminent jury shall select the best work and decide winners.
    • Out of all the submissions best films shall be screened on the day of the event.
    • The best films shall be awarded a merit certificate and a prize on the day of the event.
    • All participants shall be given a participation certificate/appreciation certificate.
    • All the participants need to pre-register their team members name for the short film in registration box of the website. To pre-registered member, we will send google form to ask name and title of the short film. The team need to submit the film via google form/mail, which will be provided after your registration.
    • There is no registration/participation fee.
    • Naming Convention: Short Film Team Name_ SchoolName
    • To avail the prizes, the winners must possess a valid Identity Card.
    • In case of any issues/ disputes, the decision taken by judges will be final.
    • Entry and participation imply unconditional acceptance of these terms and regulations.

    Rules and Regulations:

  • The Designed logo must have simplicity it will not be complex.
  • Avoid too much detail - Strong lines and letters show up better than thin ones, and clean, simple logos reduce and enlarge much better than complicated ones.
  • Your logo should be artistically balanced - your logo should seem "balanced" to the eye--no one part should overpower the rest.
  • The logon should not be copied from anywhere – It must be having originality
  • Distinctive - When you compare your logo with your competitors does it stand out or does it fade in.
  • Declutter - Don’t try to say everything about your business in your logo design.
  • Typography -The basic version of the logo defines that the typography used should be of uniform thickness and bold letters (sans-serif) to complement the visual form of the logo
  • Judging Criteria: Participants will be judged based on creativity, Artistic, Composition & design, Utility of the product and overall Presentation.

    Format of the Competition:

    The speech is intended to reveal a competitor’s ability to develop a point of view on a general topic and to deliver an imprompt speech within limited preparation time.

    Each participant will be given 2 minutes to speak extempore on a topic picked up by him or her.

    Bunch of the topics will be given to select any one randomly.

    He/she will be given 1 minutes prior to the speech to think over the topic.

    Rules and Regulations:

  • Participant has to speak only in English.
  • Maximum time limit to think over the topic will be 1 minutes and the maximum time for speech will be 2 minutes.
  • The participant will be allowed to select the topic once only.
  • Participants will not be allowed to take any paper or material with him or her during the speech.

  • The file of dance video to be uploaded should not exceed 100 MB.
  • Song, Instrument Play, Solo Act & Mimicry will be conducted live on Zoom Meeting.
  • The link will be provided to you all in WhatsApp group itself. Instrument play should not play any use of Karaoke.
  • Act should not contain any type of Paper-seeing or Script-Reading.
  • Vulgarity or bitter insinuations in presentation should be avoided. Only innocent satire and healthy humor are expected.
  • The only excepted format of the video is only .mp4.

  • Please send us the details filled in the Google form in WhatsApp, if you opt sending the videos via WhatsApp.
  • Use of make-up, any background and background music are allowed in the Song and Act.
  • Avoid background noises and shouts while the performances are going live and in the uploaded video as well. Make sure that your Internet Connectivity is good.

    Round 1 - Genocide Condition for 1st round -Palestinian event and genocide occurred in India due to religious riot.

    Round 2- Scenery Condition for 2nd round - Use at least 6 to 7 colors for painting

    In this event participants need to do maximum numbers of pushup in given one minute.
    The event is divided into 2 parts:

  • Yoga (Surya Namaskar) (Finale)
  • Rules and Regulations:

  • Participant will have one minute to complete as many repetitions as possible.
  • You will have one minute to complete as many push-ups in correct posture.
  • Selection for 2nd round (Yoga) will based on numbers of pushups and the correct posture
  • In Yoga round participants need to do maximum number of Surya Namaskar’s in given one minute.
  • It should be conducted on Google Meet so please download google meet app before competition.

    About the event

    In this event participants need to make a 5 minute video. In these 5 minutes they need to prepare and explain the procedure and the recipe of their dish/food without using any cooking appliances. On the bases of their creativity and recipe the performance will be judged.

    Rules and Regulations:

  • No microwave, oven or gas stove are allowed.
  • Dishes must be purely vegetarian (eggs not allowed).
  • The team can have a maximum of two members.
  • Each group must at least prepare one dish.
  • Procedure of cooking should be explained during preparation of dish/food.
  • When video is recording if any kind of pause, error or editing is found then you will disqualified.
  • All the entries must be submitted in Google form rather than sending privately.
  • The file size is maximum of 30 mb.
  • Register only once in Google form. Twice registering will be subjected to disqualification. Do mention all your details correctly.

    Format of the Competition:

    Title of the poem/Rap is mandatory.

    Poem/Rap can be in either English or Hindi , no other language will be considered.

    Participants are independent on their own to select their topics.

    Under no circumstances, alterations can be made to the poem/ Rap once entered.

    Rules and Regulations:

  • In order to keep the poem short and sweet , the poem must not exceed 4 stanzas, where Rap can be considered a maximum of 20 lines.
  • Must not contain any abusive words or vulgar slurs.
  • Poem/ Rap must not be found offensive in any way to any caste/culture/religion/race/gender etc.
  • The creation of poem/Rap must be original i.e. if found copied from any sources will be disqualified directly.
  • Marking and judgement will be done on the basis of creativity/moral/significance/uniqueness etc.
