B Tech Curriculum Structure and Semester-wise Courses
The course requirement for the engineering B Tech degree has been designed to address the diversity of specializations and the globally competitive landscape of education.
- Courses in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering Drawing and Computer Science are required of all students in the first year to address the interdisciplinary nature of the engineering degree
- In addition, courses in Professional Development (PD), Humanities and Management subjects are intended to provide a wider exposure to different areas of knowledge, broaden horizons and nurture them to be confident global citizens
- Core and elective engineering courses in the relevant area of specialization as well as the option to pursue open electives courses form another engineering discipline
- Provision of university-industry linkages in curricular structure in the form of Industrial Training Seminar courses in the later semesters
