A Task Force the of the following members is hereby constituted to look in to the grievances related to examinations and academic activities in view of Covid-19 pandemic. The list of officers is given below: -

The App will help Government to take necessary timely steps for assessing risk of spread of COVID-19 infection.

The Hon’ble Prime Minister in his speech address to the nation today at 09:00 am has urged the citizen of the India to express solidarity in fight against COVID-19 by switching off all house lights, and light a candle, diya or put on the mobile flash light on 5th April 2020 at 9pm for 9 minutes. This should be done within the confines of our own homes or balconies and no one should assemble in the colonies, street, ground or roads etc.

In this connection we would request all the OPJU fraternity to follow the instruction of our Hon’ble Prime Minister and be partner in resolute fight against COVID-19.

Some guidelines provided by Ministry of Ayush

The coronavirus outbreak and its spread across countries is a key area of concern for all citizens. Safety and well-being of human lives are the most important factor for all stakeholders as they address this unprecedented challenge.

OPJU is deeply committed to following all necessary precautions and go an extra mile to provide a safe environment for our students, employees and other stakeholders by taking preventive measures to combat the threat of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), as some cases of the Virus have been reported in the country. Towards this, a coordinated and collective mode is needed, therefore all the stake holders of the University are requested to take necessary precaution and follow the advisory given below to help in prevention/reduction of the transmission of the virus.

  • Avoid large gathering on campus

  • Students/Employees returning from leave may be asked to give a self-declaration that they have not been in any impacted area. Any students/staff with travel history to any COVID-19 affected country or in contact with such person in last 28 days, should be monitored and home quarantined for 14 days.

  • Faculty should be alert towards any students with sign and symptoms i.e. fever, cough and difficulty in breathing and should immediately have the student tested.

  • Till advised by the treating doctor, the student should not join the campus.

  • Faculty, staff and students are advised about simple public health measures of hand and respiratory hygiene.

  • Hand hygiene:

    Wash hands frequently and thoroughly with soap & water or use alcohol based sanitizer, even when hands are visibly clean.

  • In hostels, health status of students, staff and as well as ancillary staff should be monitored. In case, there are suspected case/s, the authorized local medical authority should be called for examination.

  • Anybody with sign and symptoms (cough, fever or difficulty in breathing) should call 24X7 helpline number at 011-2397846 (Ministry of health and Family Welfare) or visit public health facility with mask or mouth covered.

We’re following developments around the virus closely and making sure we do everything to support our stakeholders. We will continue to fight this issue as a community and work towards ensuring the safety and security of OPJU fraternity.
